In celebration of the Child Safety Networks 30th anniversary the organization is joining forces with Music and Kids. Music and Kids Singers, students from right here in the Antelope Valley, will perform at multiple events throughout Southern California in 2019, where CSN will be introducing the new Safer Together app and touring the Country Music Truck to garner more star power and collect more signatures for the project.

In 2018, Music and Kids proudly began a partnership with the City of Palmdale to administer all music programs. This collaboration was formed to expand access to high-quality music education for youth in the Antelope Valley, particularly those from under-served communities. Through this partnership, Music and Kids provides the expertise, structure, and leadership needed to ensure that music and mental health remain a vital community resource for arts education.

“Music and Kids will be the engine that will provide qualified instructors to develop and implement arts-related activities through our music program”, said Mike Miller, Palmdale’s Director of Neighborhood Services, at the launch of the partnership. His words highlight the confidence the City of Palmdale has in Music and Kids’ ability to lead this important program and deliver meaningful opportunities to local youth.

Under this partnership, Music and Kids has taken the lead in offering quality instruction and programming at no charge to participating students. Especially when it comes to music, individualized lessons are essential for growth and confidence. Providing students with the chance to learn in a one-on-one environment with a paid, qualified instructor ensures a program that is stable, consistent, and impactful—for both the students and the teachers who guide them.

Founder Chuck Murphy, a singer-songwriter and Billboard recording artist, created Music and Kids with a vision of bridging the gap between professional music education and the children who need it most. Today, that vision is thriving at Music and Kids, where hundreds of young people have gaining not only musical skills but also confidence, discipline, and self-expression over the last eight years.
